QIPP (Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention) aims to help NHS organisations deliver higher quality care and operate more efficiently and effectively. The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust has set up a programme to implement QIPP across the trust. Shared decision making does not influence physicians against clinical practice guidelines
"Intention to adopt shared decision making regarding the use of antibiotics to treat acute respiratory tract infections does not negatively influence physicians’ intention to use clinical practice guideline recommendations in the same clinical context, including after exposure to a training program in shared decision making."
